Commentary
December 27, 2001
I am finally back with a new commentary, it has been a while so I might have
forgotten a few things.
IWA Mid-South:
I had the opportunity to wrestle for Ian Rottons IWA in Indiana, and it was a good
show. I was impressed with how hard everyone worked and how welcome they made me feel. I
also liked that the crowd respected a "wrestling" match as opposed to a
"spotfest". This was the first time I had ever heard a crowd give a Holy S**t
chant for stiff chops. I was invited back for a show on 1/07 and I will be wrestling Danny
Dominion (I still have not forgotten the lump he left on my head after hitting me with the
AWA belt). It was great to finally see Colt Cabanna, CM Punk, Prazak and others for
myself. I had always heard about these guys and finally saw what the hype was about.
Hopefully I will get my hands on Cabana during the Iron Man tournament in March!
NAWF/FCW:
Ghostwalker & I had a great time in Florida as always. We had fun checking out
Southern Floridas only wooden rollercoaster and the Swamp Safari. Even though Ghostwalker
dragged me to the Fishing Hall of Fame and chased me around with a snake at the Safari, I
still managed to enjoy myself. We had two good matches, the first was against The
Blackharts. The Blackharts are a great team and gave us a great match, but we managed to
beat them with "Reservation Devastation". The next night we defended our titles
against The Vandalz, this was a different type of match. The Vandalz are a quicker team
much like the Ballard Brothers, so we had to be on our toes to pull off the victory. We
will be back in Florida February 7th for another title defense against the Vandalz (I
guess the promoter feels they are still the number one contenders).
UPW:
We were kept busy at the last UPW show. First we had a match against "The
Urban Outlawz" Mike & Marshal Nox, this was a pretty intense match so we had to
resort to a little cheating to win. I don't know why Savvy won't stop following me around
and falling at my feet, but that should not happen during a match. Next we were in the Tag
Team Royal Rumble to get a title shot at "Evolution". I don't know how they did
it, but the Nox boys eliminated us and cost us our shot at the gold.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and has a safe New Year! Gonzo, I am glad you got
the early Christmas present from the man above. I hope you make a full and speedy
recovery.
