Commentary
September 5, 2001
I want to welcome everyone to the new Navajo Warrior site. Thanks
for dropping by, now on to what has been going on.
For those who are not familiar with my commentary style, I
will explain. I take a subject (or promotion), and make my comments on it.
WSW
Western States Wrestling was just what AZ needed, its own promotion for the die hard
wrestling fans of Phoenix. After a year of very entertaining and successful shows it looks
like WSW is at a stand still. The home of WSW (Veterans Memorial Coliseum) lost its
contract with its owners, therefore WSW lost its contract with the venue as well. I have
heard that the owner of WSW has been looking for a new venue, but nothing has come through
yet. I am very high on the talent WSW has trained and used, and hope that WSW starts up
soon.
APW
I recently got to compete for All Pro Wrestling in Vallejo, CA. I want to thank Donovan
and Roland for the opportunity. I had a great time at the APW show, I knew a few of the
guys from other shows, and got to meet the rest of the roster. I hope to be back in the
near future.
UPW
Ghostwalker, Hollywood and I traveled from AZ to Santa Ana for UPW's tv taping. Hollywood
teamed with Horshu to defeat "Cruel Intentions", While Ghostwalker and I were
joined by our manager Big Schwag to defeat Mikey Henderson and Vinny Massaro. The show
went smoothly, even though there were 14 matches. We will be back in late September, then
starting in October they will run two tapings per month.
NCW
I had my first opportunity to compete for Nation-wide Championship Wrestling. I want to
thank Lexie, Scotty Ace, Bull and the twins for the shot. I enjoyed the "old
school" style of wrestling very much. I competed in two matches, the first a six man
tag then a regular tag team match. I am convinced that if I had Ghostwalker as my partner
in the tag team title match we would have the NCW tag titles added to our collection.
AWA
We just came off of a huge weekend for the American Wrestling Association. It started
Friday when Justin Roberts, Ghostwalker and I spoke at Gallup High School about the
importance of staying away from drugs. A reporter from the Gallup Independent was there
and wrote an article about it (you can find it on my "What's new" page). We then
headed to an autograph session where we got to meet with a lot of the fans from New
Mexico. Saturday we had two appearances, the first went well, then the second was just
huge. We arrived at the mall for our autograph session and were surprised to see thousands
of people waiting to see the stars of the AWA. Then it was off to the show, where we had
4,000 screaming wrestling fans watch "Native Blood" become the new AWA Tag Team
Champions.
I am now getting ready to head out to Florida for two
shows. Ghostwalker and I will be competing for FCW/NAWF, I will keep you up to date on
happenings when I return.
Until then.. Always Believe!!
