Commentary
May 1, 2003
It is time for another commentary (finally). The last commentary was back in
September, so this will be a brief summary of everything going on from September through
most of October.
September
In the month of September I wrestled Frankie Kazarian at our
IZW event, this was a great match for me because Frankie is a great talent. I also
worked for Hoosier Pro Wrestling in Indiana for my first time, my opponent was Austin
James. This match was a lot of fun even though the HPW fans did not like the way I was
beating on their favorite wrestler.
The next event for me was for Vegas Xtreme Wrestling in Las
Vegas. Ghostwalker and I had a very strong match with "Parental Discretion", and
were ready for our second match of the night against "The Beautiful People".
About one minute into the match my foot was stuck in the canvas while I was falling
backwards, and I ended up hearing a snap. Every time I would try to get up my leg decided
it did not want to. One of my good friends in Vegas took me to the Hospital, where after
what seemed like forever, they told me I had a broken fibula and would be in a cast for
six weeks. I was not too happy about the news since WWE was going to be in AZ for two
shows.
October
The WWE was in AZ for two shows in Tucson and Phoenix, and
myself and a few of my students were invited. The first day in Tucson, Nox, Hollywood and
I met up with John Cena and Justin Roberts for lunch before heading to the arena. Once we
arrived at the arena, Hollywood and Nox started to workout with Cena, Shelton Benjamin,
Jamie Noble and Billy Gunn in the ring while I was sitting at ringside talking with Bill
DeMott about how my guys are looking in the ring. While the workout was going on
Ghostwalker and Neikirk were trying to get into the building, but security finally told
them to leave the property. We stayed for the show and went out to dinner with Cena &
Roberts. The next day we arrived at the arena in Phoenix early for another in ring
workout, the guys were looking good and were making very good impressions on everyone. It
was killing me to be sitting on the outside instead of training in the ring with them
(well, only another 5 weeks in the cast).
The next event was for Ultimate Pro Wrestling in Laughlin,
NV. Since I was still in a cast and not able to wrestle, I accompanied Ghostwalker to the
ring and we said he would face both "Outlaws" on his own. The
"Outlaws" said they wanted to be fair and found him a partner, The Drunk
Irishman. With a little help from me and my crutch, Ghostwalker and DI won the match (now
only 3 more weeks until I get this thing off my leg). Our next event was for International
Championship Wrestling, and we were scheduled to face the Ballards. I had this idea to
bring in the newest member of Native Blood "Wolf". Ghostwalker and Wolf won the
match, and the Ballards were handed another defeat by "Native Blood".
The next Commentary should cover the rest of 2002 and start
into 2003.
